Igneous rocks are formed when magma or lava cools. Igneous rocks can be white, gray, black, tan or pink. They can be speckled or have small dots on them. The different types of igneous rock are intrusive igneous rock and extrusive igneous rock. Intrusive rocks form when magma or lava cool very slowly and extrusive rocks from when the magma or lava cools very fast.
Igneous rock can be used for counter tops. When Igneous rock is used for counters the type that is usually used is granite. Igneous rock is also used for statutes. Statutes are mostly made from granite as well as counters. Another way that Igneous rock is used is in soap. Pumice is used as a material in soap.
